Meeting #4: Leander printed the first pressure plate

The morning after our last meeting, Leander started the SLA printing job for the first pressure plate. He invited me to come to the institute early afternoon when the print is finished.

The plate looks really nice. However, we struggle to get it off the print bed. Leander tries with a scraper – but fails.

We finally manage to get the plate off – thanks to an isopropanol bath. I learn that the SLA 3D print resin appreciates a postprint session in a UV “curing oven”. The LEDs and mirror in the oven create an amazing look – I can’t stop taking pictures. ☺️
